When was the last time you looked at people’s faces that were vibrant and full of life? Human bodies have a specific amplitude and rate at which it vibrates. We call this a healthy vibration. Most people are unaware of the cause of their good health or lack thereof. They go about their day, and at night, they go to bed. The thought of what is the best time to wake up doesn’t even occur in most minds.
Sleep is vital for the body. Without sleep, the body can deteriorate quickly, and the thoughts become restless. However, knowing when to wake up is essential because many people sleep late and believe in catching up on lost sleep by spending extra hours in bed or taking a nap during the day or on weekends.
Did you know that your body can only rejuvenate and regenerate itself from the time you sleep and up to sunrise? Beyond sunrise, the body must be awakened, for it cannot conserve any more energy after sunrise. Even if you sleep in the afternoons or take a Power Nap, your body cannot save energy for a better rest of the day.
The human body is a Sun dependent body which can function between sunrise and a couple of hours after sunset. Beyond that time, it needs to hibernate to rejuvenate and regenerate itself.
How to wake up early?
There is a time to get to bed and wake up. The proverb; Early to bed and early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise shows us the path. The best time to sleep is before 9:30 pm, and the best time to wake up is about an hour and a half before sunrise. Waking up naturally is better than waking up to an alarm. On nights when you sleep late, you will have to live with the consequences of sleeping late. Waking up late won’t bring back lost energy and enthusiasm for the day. Power Napping and sleeping during the day slows down the metabolism and hinders proper digestion of the ingested foods, becoming the breeding ground for diseases.
Ayurveda pundits profess a theory – Pragya aparadha – Conscious, wilful, deliberate decision to act against nature. Which means you decided to sleep late. There is no remedy for this deliberate action. One has to endure the consequences so one can learn from the experience.
The best benefit of waking up early is that you wake up to a long day to accomplish tasks and fulfil your commitments so that when night falls, you hit the bed satisfied and in gratitude for having completed what you set out to achieve in the morning.
What is your best time to wake up?
Shubhodaya.
